Kurdistan International Bank ( KIB ) is the first Bank in Kurdistan Region and one of the biggest private Banks in Iraq. Our bank established by a group of prominent Iraqi businessmen including some of well known Bankers and Financers with the participation of five major Iraqi Private Banks.

The Bank started its operations and present local and international banking services to its customers, through its Head Office in Erbil Governorate-Kurdistan Region – Republic of Iraq by high experienced staff.

Also, our Baghdad branch has commenced its work in addition to our offices in Arbil International Airport and Ibrahim Al-Khaleel office at Zakho in the North of Iraq.

A plan have been formulated to establish more branches through the Governorates, during 2006-2007 in Baghdad (Second Branch), Mosil, Sulaimanya, Duhok, Kirkuk and a representative office in Gulf Area.

Therefore, and in order to extend the best banking services to individual, companies, and Government entities by encouraging different kinds of investments, we have adopted modern technologies and updated banking practices.

Our intention is to expand our correspondents network with the major banks all over the world. We enclose lists of our correspondents that we have already concluded a correspondents-arrangements and other lists whom we wrote to them informing our desire to build up a banking relationships with them and their attitudes from our request beside the list of other banks whom they are not in a position to deal with us because of the Iraqi Country Risks or other reasons such political purposes putting red lines because of present circumstances on our country.

Any how we expect to play a distinguished and important role in financing and developing projects in Kurdistan Region because of its stable security providing encouraging environment for investment and development.

In addition to the Banking Operations mentioned in the enclosed Identification Card, our bank shall issue Investment Bonds after the approval of the Central Bank of Iraq totaling US$80,000,000/- (USD eighty Million) for five years carried out in financing various projects in Kurdistan Region such as housing schemes, Industrial, Tourist, Agricultural and other Strategic Projects.

We signed a contract on 1st July, 2006 to build for a General Administration and Main Branch Building in Erbil Governorate which will be completed within two years.

The Bank has implemented the most high tech infrastructure for its services. Through integrated core banking application, transactions are done in few minutes with high level of both software and hardware security.

Branches are connected via secured Virtual Private Network Tunneling using dedicated bandwidth. LCs, LGs and other international financial transactions are done through private network dedicated to SWIFT PCConnect software as well as Western Union Translink application. Customer Service Center is supervising other Western Union locations within our Agent Network. To expand our services, we have planned to open more than 20 Western Union Locations.

For security and reliability, our core bank application uses the newest and most sophisticated version of Oracle DB (10g). Through fast and reliable servers, we have assured real time back up for all the transaction within our institution.

Automated Teller Machines (ATM) will be installed very soon to provide our customers with better and continuous services. Next step in this respect will be offering Electronic and Mobile Banking Solutions.
